- McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act -
Our school is committed to supporting students and families who may be experiencing housing instability. Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, children and youth who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence are entitled to certain educational rights and supports.
Who Qualifies?
Students may qualify for McKinney-Vento services if they are:

Staying with friends or relatives due to loss of housing or economic hardship
-
Living in a shelter, transitional housing, or motel/hotel
-
Living in cars, parks, campgrounds, or other places not meant for regular sleeping
-
Experiencing housing instability for any other reason
Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and is kept confidential.
How We Help
Eligible students may receive support with:

Immediate school enrollment, even if records are missing
-
Transportation to their school of origin (when applicable)
-
Access to free school meals
-
Assistance with school supplies and other educational needs
