Michael Hagerty

Mike worked in education for 20+ years, serving as an Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Director of Human Resources.  He started his career at Allegan AESA and ended it at Kent ISD.  During his time in education he was elected President of the MI School Business Officials, Chaired the West MI Health Insurance Pool, and served as Co-Chair of a large 403b consortium.  During his career Mike also had the opportunity to assist with the creation of the Outlook Strict Discipline Academy in Allegan County.  He also served as a Board of Trustee for Allegan General Hospital. 

 

In 2019 Mike moved from education to the private sector, becoming Area Vice President of Gallagher Benefit’s Services in the Grand Rapids office.  Gallagher is a global leader in insurance, risk management, and consulting services.  Mike helps lead the largest public sector health insurance pool in the state. 

 

Mike received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Michigan University.  In his spare time Mike enjoys to walk the dunes of Lake Michigan and has been known to golf a time or two.
